THE ACTIVE BLACK COUNTRY 41 (EX-ROUND TABLE) CLUB

AN EXTRA EVENT TO OUR MAIN MEETING IN TWO WEEKS THAT ABC 41 CLUB MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO ENJOY:

7/7 Night. 7:00pm on 7th July 2014

(or even "7ups" if you are driving).

Open to anyone who fancied marking the Anniversary of Dudley 7's.  This year as it was a Monday on 7th July a few might be up for it.  Geoff spoke to me about this the other day and suggested we might do the Wollaston Run. There are some great Pubs, starting at 7.00pm then walking around a few pubs if possible, in memory of Sean and Ian Denning who joined us at the last one but sadly died earlier this year... If anyone needs food, apparently Graham's Place should be able to oblige...  As response so far not prolific and I understand the reasons given.

The plan was that a few of us (and it is a few) are going to meet in the Foresters on Wollaston high street for an informal couple of drinks and a stroll down the high street, we will meet on the 7th at 7 o'clock but will certainly not do seven beers or even 7 pubs but thought it might be nice to mark the occasion, anyone who wants to join us will be most welcome.  Otherwise I should 'see' you down the tunnel.

Regards

Andy

Jon’s alternate suggested route began with Andy & Geoff where we:
Started early at 7 minutes to 7pm in: 1. The Gate Hangs Well – a normal type pub with an old feel
Several hundred yds up the hill to: 2. The Foresters Arms – met up with Matt and his son
Over road headed down to: 3. The Plough Inn – Excellent Pub Grub + some real ales
Onto Wollaston on right: 4. The Unicorn Inn – Bathams Beer at its very best. W
e then scotched the plan to do a few more and ended up staying where we were for scratchings and a few pints - so 7 drinks were achieved!
