We had a superb tour hosted by Jerry, along with Owen and Peter on Monday evening. There were two of their seasonal beers "Gothic Ale" (A deep tasting winter full flavour - most welcome for a cold autumnal evening) and their famous "Cherry Blond" (a most pleasant refreshing ale) for us to taste along with plenty of Enville Ale. Afterward we retired to the Plough at Wollaston and were looked after royally.
There had been a lot of work done at the site of this wonderful creator of ale over the last year. We marvelled at the new mezzanine floor, tried out the new safety rails, wondered at the new legs on the 400 gallon stainless steel vessels, and stood in awe below the new steam extraction canopy. Plenty of money was raised with a healthy amount going to Mary Stevens Hospice, and the Help for Heroes charities.
